Happy Earth Day!

I‘m a novice gardener and enjoy growing flowers and vegetables.  On Earth Day I wanted to share how I use a Starbucks cup in the garden.

The Starbucks venti clear plastic cups are great for:

• Spot watering seed starter trays.

• Drop a few seeds into the cup and you can target, or broadcast seed an area (fingers crossed my impatiens show up).

• Dry flower heads in the cup and use the order label to note what’s inside.

I’ve given lots of credit to the cup, but the real superhero is the LID!!!

So, drink up your cup has work to do!

PS: If you ask nicely, in the morning, your friendly neighborhood Starbucks barista will save the days coffee grounds for pick up at the end of the day.  Your garden will thank you. If that doesn’t work do as Lady Gaga does and “switch baristas.”
